Saussy Burbank returned from the annual International Builder Show in Las Vegas (Jan 2016) with a Best in American Living™ Award (BALA) for the company’s model home at Nexton in Summerville, S.C. The company won the silver award for its model, The Cypress. “The BALA award is one of the building industry’s highest honors,” said Al McNeill, a partner in Saussy Burbank. “We are humbled and ecstatic to have won our second BALA award and gratified that our industry recognizes our top-quality craftsmanship, design aesthetic and our homes’ livability.”
BUILDER Magazine featured Saussy Burbank in their July 2015 issue, with an article titled “How the Downturn Pushed a Small Builder to Break New Ground.” The article spotlights a recently sold infill home in the Mt Pleasant, the historic town across the Cooper River from South Carolina’s famed colonial city, Charleston. The home is located within Mt Pleasant’s oldest neighborhood, Old Village, which dates back to the 1750s.
